Footprints in the Soil: A Portugese-Californian Remembers

The book was written by Rose Peters Emery, a remarkable Portuguese-American woman. At 97 years of age, Rose draws on her astonishing memory to tell her story of growing up on her family's California ranch. At once clear-eyed and nostalgic, she celebrates a way of life that has vanished forever.

This is a new, trade paperback book with illustrated wrappers published by the Portuguese Heritage Publications of California in 2003. It is a first edition. The book measures 8" x 5.5" and contains 194 pages and includes many historical B&W photos.
